L’Auberge du Lac Names Employee of the Year; June Five Star Employees
Casey Lumpkin chosen as ‘best of the best’ for exemplary customer service at award winning casino resort
LAKE CHARLES, La. —L’Auberge du Lac Hotel & Casino, a $370 million Texas Hill Country-themed resort in Lake Charles, La., recently announced its Employee of the Year for 2006/2007 and its June Five Star Employees. The honored employees are chosen for their dedication to exceptional customer service.
Casey Lumpkin, a Lake Charles native, was named Employee of the Year at a June 26 gala held at L’Auberge. His parents were on hand as VP & General Manager Larry Lepinski and Pinnacle Entertainment Sr. VP of Human Resources Humberto Trueba chose Lumpkin from a pool of 55 dynamic and dedicated Five Star employees.
Lumpkin, a building and grounds porter, received a cash prize, a personalized L’Auberge suitcase, VIP parking for one year and a crystal trophy. He will use that luggage to fly to Las Vegas with a guest and join winners from all of the Pinnacle Entertainment properties for a private reception with Pinnacle Chairman and CEO Daniel R. Lee.
The June Five Stars at L’Auberge are: Jacinthia Malbroux, a human resources representative; Karen Kober, a front desk clerk; Mui Ung, a table games dealer; Rhonda Lockette, a table games dealer; and Victoria Jennings, a Le Café cook.
Each month, L’Auberge recognizes five employees, or Five Stars, for their service skills. All of these employees went to great lengths to uphold L’Auberge’s quality and image as the most successful and respected entertainment destination in the South.
In recognition for their hard work, the employees receive a substantial cash prize, gift certificates, a personalized L’Auberge gift and a month of VIP parking. The employees
received their awards from L’Auberge vice president and general manager Larry Lepinski on July 5 at a special Recognition Luncheon held in their honor. The Five Stars are now eligible to receive the coveted Employee of the Year award for 2007/2008.
